Half a Life in Photography
Al Robinson
Photographer
George West, Texas

An aerospace engineer, Al Robinson worked for decades in projects for the government and private industry, including specialized studies for NASA related to the Space Shuttle mission.  Now retired from that life, his focus is on photography, with an emphasis on landscape photography.

“California Dreaming” was shot with an 80 mm lens on a medium format camera, at Garrapata State Park, on Highway 1,  about six miles south of Carmel. “The couple just happened to be there,” Robinson said. “I took another picture after they moved on, but it was not as good as this one. This was my all-time best selling picture.”
